Celebrating the success of Partner of the Year Softcat

by James Munroe

At Trend Micro we understand the critical role our channel partners play in helping us to secure the connected world. We’re lucky over the years to have built an ecosystem of outstanding companies in the UK, all committed to achieving this outcome, and driving lasting commercial success.

We’re delighted to announce that Softcat has been named Partner of the Year for 2021 at our virtual awards event. A huge congratulations to everyone at the company.

Why Softcat?
With such stiff competition, how did Softcat reach the apex of our partner community? Well, it’s hard to argue with the firm’s outstanding progress this year. A stellar 2020 in difficult business conditions meant the firm recorded triple-digit revenue growth year-on-year and added an impressive number of new logos. As an AWS CPPO partner, it has been particularly strong in cloud security, driving Trend Micro’s vision of supporting customers every step of the way in their digital transformation journeys.

It’s been a big year all-round for Softcat, which had been a Gold partner for over a decade. Last month the firm became the very first Trend Micro Platinum partner for the UK and Ireland — unlocking a range of additional commercial and technical benefits.

Driving partner success
Other winners on the night included Rising Star Trustmarque, Unsung Heroes James Cable and Shireen Caisley, Distribution Partner of the Year e92plus, Delivery Partner of the Year Longwall Security, and MSP Partner of the Year Options.

While the pandemic has sparked a surge in demand for cybersecurity solutions, it’s been a challenging year for an IT channel used to cementing relationships and engagements face-to-face. With that, here’s looking forward to a better 2021 and seeing you all in person at the next Trend Micro UK Partner Awards.

Congratulations to all winners!
