Climbing ‘Everest’ in Support of an Inspirational Cause

At Trend Micro we spend each and every day trying to make the digital world a safer place. And we’ve become pretty good at it over the past 30 years, blocking over 20.4 billion threats in the first half of 2018 alone. But that’s not the full story. Our corporate DNA is also hard-wired to helping society more broadly, through a range of regular initiatives and sponsorship of worthy causes. The problem is selecting the latter from the huge variety out there.

Fortunately, in the UK our job was made very easy thanks to the Armed Forces Para-Snowsport Team (AFPST): a charity that makes a huge difference to wounded, injured or sick personnel and veterans. On Monday we held our Climb Everest Challenge to raise money and awareness for the AFPST.

Armed and Ready for a Great H2 2018

With the first half of the year almost unbelievably already over, Team Trend Micro UK upped sticks to Winchester last week to kick off 2H 2018. Why Winchester? Because this is where you can find the British Army Training Regiment. It was a privilege to hear from some truly inspiring individuals during our stay there, and experience some obstacles of our own to overcome as a team.
